Federation University

Federation University (FedUni) is the only regional multi-sectoral Australian university. It has seven campuses located across Victoria. It is the result of the merger of the University of Ballarat and the Monash University Gippsland Campus in 2014. Despite being labelled as ‘new’, FedUni in reality has 144 years of experience of providing excellent tertiary education. Today, it caters to around 23,000 international and domestic students.

Its distinctive academic programs are complemented by innovative teaching and research facilities, library, studio, and lecture theatres. FedUni boasts a personalised learning environment, offering secondary schooling, technical and further education (TAFE), an extensive range of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, and research jobs and opportunities. Its programs have close links to local industry and technology.
It adapts strategies that help facilitate better learning process. It encourages academic support among students and staff through its Centre for Learning Innovation and Professional Practice (CLIPP) and Student Mentor Program. FedUni provides services that cater to the specific needs of students and graduates resulting to availability of various university jobs. A technology park operates within the university’s SMB Campus, employing approximately 1,400 people. The university also employs skilled nursing and paramedicine staff for its health science laboratories. Other university jobs include research assistants and information librarians whose task is to work with students at all stages of their course.
   
Research jobs available in FedUni extend to a wide range of areas including regional studies, community resilience, rural health and ageing, geotechnical and hydrogeotechnical engineering, and agricultural. FedUni hosts the Federation University Australia's Geotechnical and Hydrogeological Engineering Research Group (GHERG), which offers research jobs to local and international experts. Its researches are engaged in research jobs that are locally relevant and internationally recognised.
