Edith Cowan University (ECU)

Edith Cowan University, a multi-campus institution, was established in 1991. It owes its name to the first woman elected to an Australian Parliament and holds the feat of being the only Australian university named after a woman. Its three campuses – Joondalup, Mount Lawley, and South West – are located in Western Australia.

ECU balances practical knowledge with academic excellence. It offers over 300 diverse courses for undergraduate and post graduate students as well as research programs. It is divided into four faculties, namely: Business and Law, Health and Engineering Science, Education and Arts, and Regional Professional Studies.

ECU serves more than 23,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students, with around 4,000 international students.

For the 7th consecutive year, it earned a five-star rating for its quality education in the Good Universities Guide. It was included in the 2015 Times Higher Education 100 under 50 world universities together with UTS and eight other Australian universities.
